Day 2 - hurrahhh another day

Ok I faced up to a few home truths today, I reset my actual weight on the weightwatchers online programme which reset my total weight loss and now it doesn't look so good.  I also went onto the forums and chatted to a few people who started losing weight at the same time as me, one of which has managed to lose 6 stone in 10 months, whereas I have now only done 2, oh well, I feel better now that is all out of the way, and can only look upon this as a new start, even if it is third time lucky!

Had a bit of a stressful day and could very easily have reached for the wine, but I DIDN'T

Breakfast
2 ww cereal bars

Lunch

inspiration

Inspiration comes in many guises and this one was a photo of a good friend, that has really given me a kick up the bottom!!  Jennie looks amazing and it is obvious how much work she has put into losing weight, where as I have just got complacent and managed to pile pounds and pounds back on.  So something has clicked back today and at last I feel I can continue my journey.  I can't promise to blog every day as to be honest it was getting a bit much for me, but I will do what I can, and definitely keep everyone updated with my weight loss (AGAIN)

THANK YOU SO MUCH JENNIE!

Breakfast
2 breakfast biscuits

Lunch
prawn dumplings
cereal bar

Dinner
Chicken and noodles with jalepenos (aarrgggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh so hot but delicious)

Day 7 Weigh in

Hurrahhhh 5 pounds off, I am so pleased to be back into the health kick, already clothes are beginning to feel loser again!!!

Had a great weekend, bbq hunting, well its a great time of year to buy one as all the garden centres are trying to flog them off at the end of season.  So we managed to secure a large Weber one for a great price.  I have told Paul I have bought it for him, well he may do some of the cooking then!! lol

Breakfast
Have to confess only a cup of coffee (bad)

Lunch
Chicken sandwich

Dinner
Chicken kebab

Thursday 15 September 2011

Day 4 - shopped so much it hurt!

Decided i needed to get Charlotte some new winter shoes today and then Daddy jumped on the band wagon and asked if I could get him some, so I thought, ok why not turn it into a shopping expedition and head on up to Bicester village, designer heaven!!  So childfree thats exactly what I did, intending to only be a couple of hours, but getting so into it all I stayed all day.  Stopped at Pret a Manger for lunch even though Carluccios was calling to me, and was very, very good despite the goodies tempting me.

It was lovely to be able to walk into the designer stores and now find clothes that fit, which I haven't been able to do for years, (Paul is groaning at the thought).  I think I must have a very understanding husband as when I phoned him to ask was £xxxx too much to spend on an everyday handbag, he simply said "not if you like it" how cool is that?  In the end though i put my sensible head back on and realised very pale suede was not the most practical and would be covered in sticky handprints (mine) within days, so it lives on the shelf in the shop for another day.
I did however manage to get all the shoes required, some gorgeous clothes for Lottie, and I even snuck in a new throw for the bedroom (not sure Paul is happy about that one)

Breakfast
2 breakfast biscuits

Lunch
Tuna nicoise salad
salted popcorn
skinny latte

Dinner
crab with spaghetti and lemon juice
fresh pineapple

Wednesday 14 September 2011

Day 3 - Facelifts

No not me, but our house.  Yes just when I thought I had got rid of the builders, the painters arrived today to paint the exterior of the front of  the house. The first coat is on and now its begining to look great, it will be ready for sale soon!! ha ha, or we may just decide to actually just live in it and enjoy it.

Must have burnt off many calories today as I haven't stopped, ironing, cleaning, feeding animals and chatting (lots of calories there) oh a woman's work is never done.  Oh also had a shouting match with the tax man, god they are frustrating. None of it saw me reaching for the chocolate or the wine though so that was good!

Breakfast
1 slice toast with boiled egg

Lunch
half olive ciabatta with mushrooms in creme fraiche
1 solero ice lolly

Dinner
poached trout with posh mushy peas and mange tout
1 pear

Tuesday 13 September 2011

Day 2 - Still Shocked

Ok woke up, looked in the mirror and had a shock, yep the hair is still short, and to be honest I am not sure whether i like it or not.  I think so but god is it taking some getting used to.

Took Charlotte to get her new ballet uniform, she has outgrown everything over the summer holiday so it was brand new everything.  She loved it and I have to confess so did I, I mean who wouldn't want to see their gorgeous little girl in a new, very pink and very full tutu! I only wish they had one to fit me, actually on second thoughts, its a good job they don't!

Breakfast
very small bowl of cereal and skimmed milk

Lunch
Half olive ciabatta with 40g of smoked bacon
Raspberries

Dinner
Pork escalope with creme fraiche and chilli jam
Roasted gnocchi
green beans
yoghurt

Third Time Lucky - Day 1

Ok I am back (again) third time lucky, I am ashamed to say I have put a whole stone back on and feel like a real pig.   So today I am trying again.  Started by having my haircut, which I have to say was a bit drastic (short) but I guess it will grow again.  It would certainly look better with a slimmer face so there's an incentive if ever there was one.

Its not going to be easy I know that, but I have to try again and see what I can do.  I think my mind is back in the right place so lets see how we go!

Breakfast
1 slice toast

Lunch
Prawn dumplings and breadsticks

Dinner
1/2 olive ciabatta with grilled chicken breast, onion and rocket salad
Raspberries and 1 teaspoon of half fat creme fraiche

Wednesday 27 July 2011

Day 3 - Tough, Tough, Tough

So lottie went back to nursery today which meant I had 5 minutes to myself, well I say to myself but actually I never stopped, the house looks immaculate and I did yet another trip to the tip, where do we get all this junk from!

I also put together Lottie's old cot so that I could photograph it and put it on ebay and that was extremely emotional.  I could picture her so clearly the first time we put her in it and she looked so small and now I don't even think she would fit in it.  Its a very sad time because its like closing the door on my baby days but hey life moves on.

Breakfast
2 breakfast biscuits

Lunch
2 eggs hard boiled and mashed with mayonnaise
1 slice toast
yoghurt

Dinner
pork with creme fraiche and mustard sauce
gnocchi
roasted peppers and mushrooms
cherries

Tuesday 26 July 2011

Day 2 - Chilli Flakes

So I wondered what today had instore when, sleep deprived, I was awoken (again) by my gorgeous little daughter demanding I go to her.  All this running up and down stairs must be good for me.  Alas she isn't very well (bad cough) and just like her Mummy does not take to being ill very well.  Its always stressful when children are not well but I still managed a good day of eating.

Breakfast
1 slice toast with low fat leerdammer slice
Coffee

Lunch
Prawn dumplings and breadsticks with wasabi and soya dip - which my daughter pinched most of!
Yoghurt

Dinner
Sea bream fillet with chilli flakes
Courgettes roasted with chilli flakes
Gnochhi roasted with chilli flakes (you can see I was getting my chilli fix in, and my god it was hot but fab)
Strawberries and blueberries

Monday 25 July 2011

Day 1 - Start at the very beginning

Ok as I have really not been concentrating on the weight loss for weeks now I thought that the only way I could really give myself a kick was by pretending I was starting again, so today will be day 1!!!!  I have put on 6 pounds over the last 6 weeks (at least I am consistent) but that has to come off, before those 6 pounds become 3 stone and I am back to where I began.

Today has been a bit stressful to say the least with it being entirely dominated by one very bossy 3 year old, I have no idea where she gets it from!!  Apparently she wasn't well enough to go to nursery but then was miraculously better only an hour later arrrghhhhhh!!! There were several times I thought about raiding the chocolate drawer or eating the cake that was left over from weekend, but I am very very proud to say I didn't.

Breakfast
2 breakfast biscuits

Lunch
chicken and sweetcorn soup
2 savoury cheese biscuits

Dinner
Salmon fillet
Roasted gnocchi
posh mushy peas
yoghurt

Thursday 16 June 2011

Day 163 - I'm back

A huge apology to anyone who has been looking for my blog for the last week and has found a big empty space, I simply haven't had a minute.  The builders are driving me mad, Lottie has had a stinking cold and things have been stressful at work.  So have I been eating, well, not as badly as you would think and I have actually managed to lose a pound this week.  I am not sure what my blogging is going to be like for the next few days as there is so much happening, but I will do my very best.  We are then away on holiday for 2 weeks from next Saturday, so there may not be much activity then, but hang around I will be back in ernest at the start of July, in time to lose that other 3 stones before the end of the year, well ok make it 2 and then I won't be disappointed.

Breakfast
1 homemade banana muffin

Lunch
Goats cheese toasted sandwich with rocket salad

Dinner
2 glasses of wine and a packet of mini cheddars (was too stressed to eat)

I know its not a good eat day, still within points but not healthy, but I am nothing but honest.

Wednesday 8 June 2011

Day 155 - Realisation

Having had a chat to my cousin Barb today I have had the kick up the bottom I needed.  I was convincing I was having a little break but managing to maintain and so that was ok.  In reality I had put 5 pounds on over 3 weeks, so hardly maintaining!!!  To be honest it frightened me, as I really do not want to pile all this weight back on, that is what has always happened, so I had to be brave grab the bull by the horns and get back on the wagon seriously!!!!!  And I have.

Breakfast
2 Belvita breakfast biscuits

Lunch
2 slices WW bread with prawns
Yoghurt

Dinner
Homemade turkey burger with roasted gnocchi
mushrooms and onions
Yoghurt

Thursday 2 June 2011

Day 150 - interior designing

Who would have thought it would be so difficult to put a few colours together and create a gorgeous bedroom.  Paul have given me carte blanche to spend what I like (is he mad) and has left me to it, and can I come up with anything, in a word, no!  Trailed round linen shops, fabric warehouses and furniture stores today but still nothing grabbed me.  Going to put together a mood board tomorrow as helpful hubby suggested. Wish me luck!!!!!

breakfast
boiled egg and toast

lunch
squid with vegetables and chickpeas stir fried
apple

Dinner
chicken sandwich
glass of wine (large one and very necessary)

Wednesday 1 June 2011

Day 149 - Arrrgghhhh

Ok note to builder, please ensure the new stairs actually fit in the house before ordering them, oh and our walls used to be crisp white, I am not loving the red brick dust colour they now are!!!!

Yes you can tell I am slightly stressed by our builders, I know they will probably be finished in about 2 weeks but I just can't see how they possibly can be and I just want it all to be over now.  I want to get creative and not just by writing in the dust!!

Breakfast
3 belvita biscuits

Lunch
tuna salad with green beans and asparagus
Melon

Dinner
2 salmon fishcakes

Tuesday 31 May 2011

Day 148 - I'm back

I know I have been away for nearly a week and I would love to say that even though I haven't been on here I have been strict with my eating, ha, well unfortunately I would be lying as I have not.  In fact I ate really badly over this weekend.  I have given myself a significant kicking and am back on the wagon and now have just 3 weeks to lose 6 pounds so I am going to have to be very very strict to reach my holiday goal, I can do this!!!!

Breakfast
hovis toast with marmite

Lunch
prawn dumplings with mushrooms
Melon

Dinner
cod in parma ham with roasted butternut squash
yoghurt

Wednesday 25 May 2011

Day 142 - Arrrrrggghhh

Had a very stressful day at work today, trying to wade my way through pharmaceutical compliance records when the clients we are representing don't even know what their delegates names are let alone their ID numbers or heaven forbid what flight they might actually want to get to the event!  I give up.

Came home and walked into what effectively was my very own ash cloud.  Yes the builders had decided today was the day to knock the wall down to make room for the new stairs, god the mess is horrible.  This nearly drove me to pig out until I stopped and realised that stress eating is not the way to lose weight!  So I got a cloth and the hoover and set to work, will have to do it all again tomorrow but oh well!

Breakfast
3 belvita biscuits

Lunch
chicken breast grilled on salad of rocket, green beans and asparagus
2 breadsticks
pear

Dinner
Lemon sole fillet
Peas
Yoghurt and grapes

Tuesday 24 May 2011

Day 141 - Map My Run

OK folks I am sorry I haven't blogged for the last couple of days but things have just been absolutely manic with the builders and everything.  I'm here now and am pleased to report a 1 pound loss last week.  Not totally happy though that things have slowed down so have decided I need to go back to exercising some more.

Had a busy day and didn't move from my desk, so when I got home I was desparate to get moving and as it was such a gorgeous day I decided to go for a power walk and see if I could throw in a bit of a jog.  Well off I marched, and loved every minute of it.  Decided to map the walk when i got home and was surprised how far I had walked in just half an hour.

Breakfast
2 breakfast biscuits

Lunch
prawn and rocket wrap with lemon low fat mayonnaise
pear
walkers french fries

Dinner
small chicken breast wrapped in parma ham
roasted gnocchi
asparagus and green beans
yoghurt

Friday 20 May 2011

Day 137 - Another struggle

Had a great day and didn't weaken once but Paul was out again tonight - some boring work safety council dinner and my first thought was, oh I can treat myself.  I do wonder when my mind is ever going to change.  The odd thing about tonight was though, that although I kept thinking hmmmm what can I have, nothing appealed and I kept thinking, don't do it, you will ruin the week.  So I had a bath and a small glass of wine, and then cooked dinner straight away so that I was full and didn't risk calling out for pizza!

Breakfast
wholemeal toast with 1 boiled egg

Lunch
prawn dumplings
strawberries

Dinner
Squid and mushrooms stirfried with sweet chilli sauce and 75g of noodles
curly wurly

2 small glasses of wine.

Thursday 19 May 2011

Day 136 - Planning

It is true what they say about planning, because today I had a great day all day, was mad busy at work and didn't feel hungry once.  However when I got home I realised I had not thought about what I was going to have for dinner and I was really hungry.  I walked round the kitchen opening fridges, freezers and cupboards and although they were all full, I kept saying to myself "oh I have nothing in, I will have to order takeaway" there then followed a frustrated Alison walking out of the kitchen saying "oh no you wont" before walking back in again and starting the cycle all over again. To make matters worse I knew Paul was going out, and so I could just treat myself and not have to worry about cooking for him!  arrrrrgggghhhhhh.  I decided I would treat myself to a small glass of wine, oooohhhh nooo this only made things worse.  I extracted the takeaway menu from my hand, and put an egg whisk in it, an omlette would work!  Have to say it was lovely, I ate it and as I knew I was struggling, came upstairs to bed so I could not hear the dairy milk bar calling to me from the fridge.  Hurrah I resisted temptation!

Breakfast
3 Belvita breakfast biscuits

Lunch
Wrap with chicken and rocket
French fry crisps
yoghurt

Dinner
Omlette with chicken, mushrooms and 1 leerdammer light cheese slice
glass of wine

Wednesday 18 May 2011

Day 135 - Manic

had an absolutely manic day today, trying to arrange three medical seminars for a client (not something I usually do) its very intense as there is so much compliance to be aware of, but I am really enjoying it.   It also means I don't have a minute to think about eating and actually had to remind myself today to eat lunch (unheard of)

In my spare time (huh) I am trying to interior design our new bedroom and bathroom, which is fab as I have been told I can push the boat out, and oh I will!!!

Breakfast
2 breakfast biscuits

Lunch
rocket salad with chicken
yoghurt

Dinner
M&S count on us fish pie
Count on us choc desert with fresh raspberries

Tuesday 17 May 2011

Day 134 - Feeling Good

You know there are some days when you just wake up feeling good, well today was one of them and lasted until I shouted at a woman in Sainsbury's car park for parking in a parent and child space with no children.  Had a busy day with Lottie but we had a lot of fun, she is such a helpful little girly it really is fab when she is in a good mood!

Had lots of deliveries for the new bathroom today so I thought I would venture into the loft to see how things are progressing, its looking good but feels a little small, there may not be room for Paul, Me and all my shoes, oh well I guess there is always the shed!! lol

Breakfast
2 breakfast biscuits

Lunch
Chicken and sweetcorn soup
Walkers french fry crisps
Rich tea biscuit

Dinner
Homemade turkey and sage burger
Gnocchi, green beans and asparagus

Monday 16 May 2011

Day 133 - yeeeeeeeaaaaahhhhhhhh 3 stone gone for good!

Stepped on the scales feeling good this morning for the first time in ages I was not worried about weigh in because I just knew I had lost, I did however think it would be a big loss and when it was only 2 pounds I have to confess to being slightly disappointed. However it does take me to a 3 stone loss and my 6th 7 star, so I am very happy with how far I have come.  My next goal is in sight as I have 6 weeks to lose 7 pounds, my goal was to have lost 3 1/2 stone before holiday at end of June, and I AM going to do it!

Have to do some more exercise this week as I really think that is the secret, that and drinking lots of water, I have been carrying a 1 1/2 litre bottle round with me all week and ensuring i drink at least one of them a day!

Breakfast
2 breakfast biscuits

Lunch
tortilla wrap with ham and rocket picked from our garden
French fry crisps
Yoghurt

Snack
Banana

Dinner
peking duck pizza (ok a big treat I know but I have to live too)

Day 132 - Bye Bye Mummy

Had to take Mum and Tom back to the airport today so was not very happy, I miss them sooooooooooooo much its really hard.  There are times I most definitely think about moving back to the Island but unfortunately it would have to be without my husband as he won't and can't go, he just would not get the career he has now, and as I love him totally its not really an option.  Oh well I will just have to settle for trying to see them as much as possible, now that the house is growing it will be easier.

Breakfast
Crumpet with marmite

Lunch
Chicken and spare ribs with coleslaw

Dinner
1 chocolate

Saturday 14 May 2011

Day 131- Brother Loves Travelling Salvation Show

Having a brilliant weekend with Mum and Tom being over, Lottie is loving every minute of being spoilt by her Grandparents and I am just loving spending time with Mum.

Today Paul and I managed to escape for an hour to go and choose some tiles and a basin for the ensuite, I am sooooo excited about how things are shaping up.  The dormer has not been put into the roof so you can see how big the room is going to be and its looking great.

We all went out for lunch and although I blew 23 points on a pizza I decided that it was worth it and just didn't eat anything else for the day so it still stuck within my daily allowance.

Mum and I went out at night to see the Brother Loves Travelling Salvation show, which will mean absolutely nothing to any non Neil Diamond fans.  It was a tribute from Brian Connolly and Darren Day to the great man (no he's not dead) and it was done with a west end feel, but in a circus big top.  Absolutely amazing, we danced all night so must have jiggled off a few calories too!

Breakfast
Crumpet with marmite

Lunch
Funghi Pizza
10 olives

Dinner
2 breadsticks
1 satsuma

Friday 13 May 2011

Day 130 - Horses horses everywhere

Spent the day with Mum and Tom and Lottie at the Windsor horse show and it was fantastic.  Lottie really loved it especially the shetland pony grandnational which was unbelievably cute.  There were some fantastic stands selling wonderful things, including a private Hermes area which thankfully for Paul I didn't go into!

Walked miles which was brilliant and I felt so good, I just know that 6 months ago I would have been exhausted after a day spent entirely on my feet, but today I just felt good!

Breakfast
small slice of bread with boiled egg

Lunch
Prawn dumplings with rocket picked from our garden!

Dinner
haven't had it yet as lottie woke up being sick half an hour ago and is currently sitting up with us watching Humph, so may not get anything.

Day 129 - My Mummy's here

Sorry for the late post but my Mum arrived today and time seemed to fly.  We are really close which is brilliant and always have so much to talk about.

Breakfast
2 breakfast biscuits

Lunch
Sushi
Pineapple
Yoghurt

Dinner
cod wrapped in parma ham with roasted butternut squash and green beans
2 v small glasses of wine

Wednesday 11 May 2011

Day 128 - Sooooooooooooooooo busy

Why is it that life can just be soooooooooooooo busy, I was going to take some time off work, yet I am busier than I have ever been, I am determined to take most of the summer off though, and project manage finishing the house inside and out.  The good news is, being so busy leaves me little time to think about eating, but the problem is it leaves me very little time for anything, so I have to be extra careful and plan meals that are quick but still pointed.  I feel good about this week so lets hope the scales say the same thing.

My Mum is coming over tomorrow for the weekend and I can't wait, just have to ensure we both stay on track as she has done so well and only has 1 pound left to go to reach goal, not that she needs to, she looks fab, but then I have thought she always has done.

Breakfast
3 breakfast biscuits

Lunch
butternut squash soup
tortilla wrap
grapes and raspberries

Dinner
omlette with ham and 1oz of cheese
Curly wurly

Tuesday 10 May 2011

Day 127 - Birthday Banoffi

As it was Paul's birthday today I asked him what special meal he would like me to cook for his birthday and am I glad that our tastes are so different.  What did he choose, steak, smoked salmon, risotto??? no, sausages yorkshire puddings and roast potatoes with gravy, followed by banoffi pie.  hurrahh I don't really like any of that, and just to be sure I bought a banoffi cheesecake which is Paul's idea of heaven and my idea of hell!

Had a busy, busy day but stuck to my  meal planner religiously and have completed day two of my committment to drink at least 1.5 litres of water a day.  Always on the loo but hopefully its flushing all the fat out!

Breakfast
2 breakfast biscuits

Lunch
Prawn dumplings with wasabi and soya sauce
french fry crisps
a pear

Dinner
Lemon sole fillet wrapped in parma ham
Roasted gnocchi
Posh mushy peas
Yoghurt

Monday 9 May 2011

Day 126 - Did I Do It???

Hurrahhhhh stepped on the scales and had lost not only all the holiday weight but also an additional pound.  God am so ecstatic, I was really worried that I wouldn't have lost it all and I know that would have really knocked me off track as I have struggled a bit this week anyway.  Now I just feel focussed again and am pushing for 2-3 pounds off this week.  I am only 2 pounds off my 3 stone goal so I am determined to do it this week.

Breakfast
2 breakfast biscuits

Lunch
Rocket and tomato salad with ham and cheese and roasted butternut squash
French Fry crisps
Yoghurt

Dinner
Stir fry chicken with 100g of cooked rice
Yoghurt

Sunday 8 May 2011

Day 125 - Loft Finally Empty

Hurrahhhhh after a weekend of running up and down stairs and loft ladders, of shifting endless black bin bags of clothes that will either never fit or are so totally out of fashion they should have been binned years ago, the loft is now empty.  Paul and I and even Lottie are totally exhausted, Lottie even asked if she could go to bed tonight which is unheard of.

I am very excited now about the building work, ask me again in a week and I may not be, but knowing that our house is growing is really quite cool.  What is totally totally cool though, is that I can have a shoe and bag store made for me by our carpenter!!! Sex and the City has nothing on me!!!

Well its weigh day tomorrow so please keep your fingers crossed for me, I've been a good girl, honest.

Breakfast
1 breakfast biscuit

Lunch
1 slice toast with low fat cheese and sweet chilli
Strawberries

Dinner
homemade turkey burger with sweet potato
Curly wurly

Day 124 - Exhausted

Apologies for not posting this yesterday but quite simply I was exhausted.  Had been running up and down stairs all day, throwing out boxes and boxes of rubbish and clearing through 39 years of memories and junk.  God why do you keep and accumulate so much rubbish!  Some of it was extremely emotional especially when I found my grandads cardigan and then some old love letters infact hundreds of them, not very appropriate now as they weren't from Paul, so they have been binned well and truly.

Lets just hope that all this running around makes me lose the weight I gained on holiday, if I can lose that this week I will be a very very happy girl.

Breakfast
Toast and peanut butter

Lunch
Tortilla wrap with chicken and home grown rocket picked straight from the garden
French fry crisps

Dinner
Macaroni cheese
2 glasses of wine

Friday 6 May 2011

Day 123 - 2 Children

Ok don't worry I'm not about to announce something dramatic, I am only referring to the fact that this morning i was responsible for 2 children instead of just my usual 1.  Lottie had a friend over to play whilst her Mummy was busy and boy did they have me running around.  It was great as Lottie and her friend Emilia get on so well and just have a ball playing together but looking after two can be especially demanding.  All congrats to those friends of mine who have two permanently.

The scaffolders arrived today so the house now resembles a building site, but at least is is finally happening.  I am excited about having more space in the house and finally an ensuite bathroom, but not so overjoined about the months of disruption that are inevitably to come.  oh well it will all be worth it in the end.

Had a great eating day all day, but was so hungry when Paul got home I asked him to not let me near the kitchen, I nibbled a few breadsticks and had a glass of wine whilst Paul went out to get dinner (healthy) and then ate and came to bed to stop me raiding the fridge!

Breakfast
1 slice toast with 10g peanut butter

Lunch
Tortilla wrap with chicken and rocket
Yoghurt

Dinner
Chicken Kebab
3 glasses of wine
about 1000000000 breadsticks!

Thursday 5 May 2011

Day 122 - still so much to do

Ok we are slowly making in roads into the loft, but god still so much to do, I am panicking a bit but thankfully lovely husband is calming me down and telling me we can either take everything to the tip, or not have a new bedroom!!! arrrggghhh

I know if I hadn't worked this week it would have been easier, but I have a really great client and want to keep in with them.  Also this client has two of my WW friends working in their office and we always have a good catch up and mutual motivation session.  Today we were all talking about the binge gene and whether it would ever be possible to just eat one biscuit or piece of chocolate without wishing to eat the lot and then some!!

Breakfast
2 breakfast biscuits

Lunch
rocket and cucumber salad with tuna and mayo
4 breadsticks
Yoghurt

Dinner
Tesco light linguine with prawns
2 WW ginger biscuits

Wednesday 4 May 2011

Day 121 - How Many Clothes

Oh god the great loft clearance continues, and I have no idea how I managed to accumulate so many clothes, I mean does one woman actually need 25 pairs of trousers and 46 shirts/blouses?????  I have thrown away anything that is remotely too big, so that's it, decision made, I can't possibly put any weight back on because I will have absolutely nothing to wear.  I have thrown away four bin bags worth of clothes, have to start on the shoes and handbags next and I know at last count I had 72 pairs of shoes and 30 handbags, so its going to be painful!

All this activity is great though, I already feel slightly slimmer so hopefully have made some inroads into my easter gain.

Breakfast
2 breakfast biscuits

Lunch
butternut squash soup
Flour tortilla with low fat cheese and chilli jam
Yoghurt

Dinner
Chicken wrapped in parma ham
roasted gnocchi
peas

Tuesday 3 May 2011

Day 120 - Arrrrrggghhh

Ok was having a fairly easy going day pottering round the house with Lottie, getting on top of cleaning, washing and ironing, until my husband phoned and dropped the bombshell.  The builder is starting work on the loft extension on Friday, which of course means the loft needs to be empty by then!! arrrghhhhhhhh.  On the plus side we have so much we need to get rid of it could be quite good fun.  I started this evening by emptying four huge bags of clothes I had been keeping (to get in to!!) well half of them were too big, the other half so horribly old fashioned which brought home to me just how long I have been battling with this weight.  However there is no way I could part with my black suede and paisley jewelled jacket!  hidious I know but it just sums up the 80's and has so many happy memories.  Of course another plus is that we are going to be so so busy in the coming weeks I won't have time to think about eating!

Breakfast
slice of wholemeal toast

Lunch
homemade butternut squash soup
tortilla wrap with low fat cheese

Dinner
Lemon sole fillet
mushrooms
green beans
Yoghurt

Snack
2 breadsticks
1 rice krispy square

Monday 2 May 2011

Day 108 - 119 - holidays

I am sorry to everyone for not posting for the last 10 days, but the thought of battling with Mum's dial up connection speed each day, coupled with rushing around and spending quality time with family and friends didn't leave me much time.

I would like to say I stuck religiously to my diet whilst away but I won't lie, I didn't and if I am to go by my home scales I would say I have put on about 4 pounds, which I can assure you will be gone this week, please don't be too disappointed in me, I haven't fallen off the wagon, I just relaxed a bit too much and consumed a little too much wine.

Well the holiday was fab, loved spending time with my family, who actually noticed I had lost weight which was brilliant.  Also met up with some really good friends, and Jennie it was brilliant spending the day with you and lovely Masie, you look fantastic, and have done so so well with WW, lets keep each other on the straight and narrow, and be another 3 stone lighter next time we meet.

So here I am back and true, although today has been a bit weird.

Breakfast
Wholemeal toast with 1 leerdammer light slice

Dinner - or late lunch whichever you prefer to call it
Turkey
Coleslaw, salad, 2 roast potatoes

Day 107 - Sickness

God what a horrendous night.  About 6 months ago I started getting really bad sickness each month and went for lots of tests to thankfully find out there was nothing wrong with me, went on to some tablets and everything seemed fine.  Well tablets finished last week and the sickness has come back with avengence, here was I blaming Zumba for making me feel so dreadful, however I am sure that not even Zumba makes you projectile vomit (sorry too much info) So all in all had only 3 hours sleep last night and still feel pretty rotten today, so a trip back to the doctor is called for.  So forgive today's very odd menu, all pointed but a bit weird and not really split into meals as eaten at strange times.

1 banana
2 breakfast biscuits
slice of toast with leerdammer light slice
3 rich tea biscuits
200g of roasted gnocchi

Tuesday 19 April 2011

Day 106 - Zumba

Had a lovely day with Lottie today, was rushing around trying to get everything organised for going on holiday on Friday, there always seems so much to do.  The sunshine was gorgeous today though and it just made me smile.

Was going to go to the gym tonight, but at the weekend I had bought Zumba for the Wii so I decided I would do that instead, oh my god! unless you have legs of rubber it obviously isnt the work out for you, I just must be so unco-ordinated because I just couldn't get it right, but my god did I think I had done a work out.  I thought I would start with the beginners level and it said do just 20 minutes on your first day, I nearly laughed, what, only 20 minutes god how hard can that be.  5 minutes in I was praying for the 20 minutes to end!  Oh well will have another go Thursday when no one is looking!

Breakfast
toast and peanut butter

Lunch
Tortilla with leerdammer light slice and chilli jam
Rice krispy square

Day 105 - Weigh In 15

Hurrrahhhhh another 3 pounds off, taking me to 39 pounds gone.  God I am so so happy.  I think this may have been something to do with the amount of exercise and water I have been doing and drinking, which worries me this week as I don't have as much time.  Will just have to get running down Port Erin Promenade in the mornings!!

Have to confess to being a little worried about how I am going to stay on track when away for a week, especially as Mum only has dial up internet which takes forever and I do need to track online.  She is a healthy eater though and so should help me.  I can't believe it but am actually taking a little food box with me in case I can't get my staples over there, god its not a third world country, but my Mum says the shops are very short of WW produce!

Breakfast
2 breakfast biscuits

Lunch
Salad with shredded ham and 1 leerdammer light slice
4 breadsticks
Rhubarb with muller light yoghurt

Dinner
Small sea bass fillet
Posh mushy peas

Day 104 - Ringing the Changes

Ok a corny title for what has been a beautiful day.  My lovely husband took me out today to choose an eternity ring.  He has always said he would do it when he thought the time was right, and apparently that was today.  He had actually suggested it a couple of weeks ago but I hadn't believed him!! Silly girl.  So we went to Tunbridge Wells to what we call "our jeweller" as he has made all the jewellery Paul has ever bought for me, from my engagement ring, to our wedding bands, earings, wedding necklace etc, and as always he has come up trumps.   We spotted it as soon as we walked through the door, it matches my engagement ring perfectly.  Just can't wait to get it made for me now, we tweaked a couple of things to personalise it and it should be ready in about 3 weeks, god I am such a lucky lucky woman.

We then went to late lunch at Mum and Dad inlaws which as always was lovely, sitting out in their garden is just so peaceful, it backs straight on to the grounds of the Manor house and so is not overlooked and they keep it beautifully so it is so tranquil.  Have to confess to consuming a little too much bubbly, but only to keep Mum in law company obviously, however it was all pointed so very happy.

Breakfast
Hovis with peanut butter

Lunch
a bite of Charlotte's sandwich and a coffee latte (didn't want to spoil appetite for dinner)

Dinner
Roast garlic chicken
Vegetables
2 potatoes
fruit salad
Bubbly!!!!

Day 103 - Gym Goal Achieved

Ok I set myself a goal at the start of the week that I would do 3 sessions of exercise this week and today I achieved it by going to the gym late afternoon and following it with a swim.  I still ache from the running I did on Wednesday but am slowly beginning to feel better.

Spent the morning in the gorgeous sunshine in the garden sorting out my salad planter and veg patch. I definitely have visions of being all Nigella esk and wandering out to pick fresh salad and veg for dinner, the reality will probably be some limp looking lettuce and courgette with everything.  I seem to be able to grow endless supplies of courgette, so much so that Paul almost threatened to leave a couple of years ago if I tried to make him eat any more, I was almost at the stage of trying courgette ice cream!

Nipped into town to get some easter bits, and decided to buy a new top, can't believe it is a size 16 and fits!!! result.  Also had to buy some new jeans as these are just way too big, I have now gone down 2 sizes, so am loving that I can shop in normal shops again.

Breakfast
a pear

Lunch
lemon sole flaked with chilli jam on a flour tortilla with rocket
Yoghurt

Dinner
Homemade turkey and sage burger with roasted squash and mushrooms

Friday 15 April 2011

day 102 - a lovely day

Had such a great day with Lottie today, she was in a fab mood and it just made me smile. We went swimming this morning and she is getting on really well, I was just holding her swimsuit really gently (the way my Mum used to) and she was swimming along, I am sure if I had let go she would have carried on, but I didn't want to push it,will try that next week.

Went shopping for some more gym clothes, I wanted a pair of jogging bottoms that didn't look like I had slept in them! Also if I am going to be running and cycling more I needed something a little less baggy!  Well I bought some expensive running pants, that are so close fitting they made Lottie laugh, oh well nothing ventured.  My fashion guru (Paul) checked them for me and said they were actually really good, so now I have the confidence to wear them outside of the house.

Had an evening off, but still pointed everything so feel very much in control, am loving losing this horrid fat!

Day 101 - Ouch

After working so hard at the gym yesterday I knew I would be in trouble today and god was I, stupidly I put heals on for work and thought I would be ok.  Well by 10 I was looking a bit like a cross between bambi and dumbo, every step hurt, and each time I had to get up from my desk to go to the printer or talk to someone I loudly moaned!! I am sure people thought I was about 70!

I decided the only way to get better was to go back to the gym on the way home, well the swimming pool and spa to be precise.  I attempted to drive my car past the end of the hotel driveway but unfortunately it has a mind of its own and drove me straight in, parked itself and made me walk up the steps.  I did lots of swimming, and could actually feel the muscles relaxing, thank god.  Then treated myself to a lovely hot jacuzzi and then 5 mins in the steam room, boy I feel like a new woman now!  Well almost.

Breakfast
2 breakfast biscuits

Butternut squash, rocket and chick pea salad with crab
Muller light yoghurt

Dinner

Day 100 - wow 100 Days!!!!

Can't believe that today is my 100th day on plan, I have never ever stuck at anything this long before and I am so so proud.  How did I celebrate????  I spent 90 minutes slogging it out in the gym and now I can hardly move, I was running so fast and hard that my phone shot off the treadmill and ended up half way across the gym, thank god it wasn't me!!! lol

Had a truly manic day had a couple of business meetings, did lots of lovely (?) housework and of course the gym, oooooh and found something amazing today, they are called collar bones and I haven't seen them for a number of years, I'm not quite sure where they have been hiding, but today they reappeared!!!

2 WW breakfast biscuits

Prawn dumplings
1 Pear

Dinner
Small chicken breast wrapped in parma ham

Day 99 - Day Out

Well today I took Lottie to Woburn safari park for a bit of Mummy Daughter time, we haven't been for a day out together on our own for a few months and we were both really looking forward to it.  I decided to pack a picnic so I wouldn't be tempted, and also didn't want to have to go to the restaurant and try and balance a tray, a Lottie, and everything else on my own.

We had a wonderful day, its brilliant at the park because they let children get out of their car seats and stand up in the cars or (as Lottie wanted to do) sit on my knee and help me drive round the circuit.  We got very close (sometimes too close off road) to lions, giraffes, black bears, tigers and of course monkeys, oh and not forgetting the rhinos, which I was extremely pleased to report have even larger bottoms than I do!

As is always the way, the day out left me exhausted, it is always fun, but tiring with a 3 year old, who runs everywhere and then when tired, demands to be carried!  So by the time Lottie was in bed I was fit for nothing, and was just about to tell Paul he would have to order out for dinner or nip to the chip shop, when I stopped myself and realised just why I was doing this in the first place, and how quick I could rustle up a couple of omlettes for us and stick within points.  How good am I!!!

Breakfast
Wholemeal toast with 1 spoon of reduced fat peanut butter

Lunch
Tortilla wrap with leerdammer light, chilli jam and rocket
French fry crisps
Stewed Rhubarb

Dinner
3 egg omlette with parma ham and 1oz of cheese
yoghurt

Snack
WW lemon and ginger cookies

Monday 11 April 2011

Day 98 - Weigh in 14

Actually don't tell anyone but I weighed in yesterday as I knew I was not going to have any time this morning as I had to dash out to nursery and then straight into the office and I weigh in on my wii fit so it isn't a case of just stepping on the scales.  So I decided to sacrifice the extra day and get it over with.  Woooo hoooooo 3 pounds off, am absolutely delighted as this gave me my 5th 7 star and takes me to almost 15% loss.  Still have 13 pounds to go to hit my next goal by holiday at end of June, so please let me do that.

Decided today as I was in the office I would have no excuse to have a glass of water permenantly on the go on my desk, well it was great, but I was running to the toilet every 10 mins, oh well a bit of exercise is always good.

Breakfast
2 ww breakfast biscuits

Lunch
Salad of rocket, butternut squash, chick peas, chilli and 1 leerdammer light slice
Muller light yoghurt

Dinner
Cod wrapped in parma ham
Roasted gnocchi
Green beans
Pear with choc yoghurt and a crumbled up funsize crunchie a huge 5 point desert but my treat for doing so well this week.

Sunday 10 April 2011

Day 97 - Non Stop

Can't believe how busy or how fast the day went today.  After being up in the night with Lottie and eventually getting in to her bed with her just so I could grab some sleep (all of which went entirely unnoticed by hubby), we were up and out early to Sunday school, what a good girl am I?  Lottie really enjoys it, and of course I am not doing it to get her into the right school!

Came home and worked tirelessly in the garden which now less resembles a jungle and looks more like an actual garden complete with flowers and veg plot. I then hung out washing, cleaned out guinea pigs and did more weeding.  Lottie helped me to plant lots of things which she loves, and then helped Daddy to wash the conservatory roof which resulted in them both getting absolutely soaked.  Daddy then took Lottie to the park for an hour whilst I did the ironing and cooked spaghetti bolognese (Lottie's fave).  Finally managed to relax in the bath at 7.00 for half hour before getting out and cooking dinner yet again!  Phew glad I am working tomorrow, may actually get a bit of a rest.

Breakfast
2 breakfast biscuits

Lunch
humous and breadsticks
1/2 a wrap with low cheese and sweet chilli

Dinner
Squid and chorizo with roasted butternut squash, asparagus and green beans
WW toffee mallow biscuit
Glass of wine.  (thank's Barb for the offer of a trip to Melbourne to buy more, would love to, but think I may just have to pop to Waitrose in the meantime. xxx)

Saturday 9 April 2011

Day 96 - I can cope

Feel really proud of myself when I can actually cope with going out for lunch without blowing things.  We popped into Windsor to do some shopping and stopped for lunch, went to Ha ha which is one of my faves, and what did I have, did I have calamari, humous and lots of yummy pitta bread, or creamy risotto, or chips, no I had chicken and chorizo salad with no dressing, was soooooooooooooo yummy though.  Well Ben Shepherd who was sitting directly behind me seemed to think so, ooooh he is a bit yummy too.  Of course I didn't recognise him, but then I never do, maybe thats why I am seldom starstruck, because I just don't know who they are!?

Lottie had her photo taken professionally today as a test for a studio slot we have booked in the next couple of months.  I wasn't sure how she would take to it as she can be really shy, but I needn't have worried she was fab and had everyone cooing and fussing over her in minutes, the pics were brilliant too.  This I think prompted Paul (who is a great photographer) to update his kit and he bought a new camera and home lighting studio, so I am sure we will have cute photos of Lottie all over the place now!

Breakfast
Home produced rhubarb with yoghurt

Lunch
Chicken and Chorizo salad with 1oz of daughter's chips

Dinner
Pork medalions with mushrooms
Roasted butternut squash
Funsize Crunchie
2 glasses of Brown Brothers Tarrango, - absolutely love this, try it if you fancy a chilled red in the summer, it is totally delicious, Thank you Aunty Jean for introducing my Mum to it last time she was in Australia.

Friday 8 April 2011

Day 95 - Shattered

Have had a brilliant day but also exhausting as I just don't seem to have stopped.  Lottie had her best friend Emilia round to play this morning and demanded that they have a picnic in the sunshine, so before she arrived we needed to go shopping for picnic food (oh joy).  I thought i was very restrained as I didn't eat any of it and totally ignored the delicious looking and smelling pink cup cakes we brought back from the shops with us.

After they had finished playing we did some gardening and then headed of for the park where I pushed her for ages on the swing (great for the bingo wings) and then we walked along the river to try and find some hungry ducks, well someone had obviously beat us to it as they certainly didn't want much of our wholemeal bread.  Ok it was a little stale, but I am sure ducks weren't that fussy when I was a child.

Was going to go to the gym tonight but was exhausted and then Paul phoned to say there was an hour and a half delay on the M25 so would be late.

Breakfast
wholemeal toast with peanut butter

Lunch
Half a wholemeal bap with low fat humous and 4 grisini breadsticks
 Strawberries and grapes

Dinner
Chicken Shashlic (chargrilled chicken, peppers and onions)
3 spoons of Chana Masala
2 small glasses of wine

Thursday 7 April 2011

Day 94 - all about the garden

Actually had a day to myself today so I decided to use it wisely. First went off to see my fish man, but horror of horrors, not the usual cute and hunky one, no, think this must be his Dad!!! oh well fish still delicious and plentiful so bought lots.  Then came home and marinaded the tuna I had bought with soya sauce and lime ready for my Tuna Sashimi lunch.  Tidied up the house and then got the table set in the garden, complete with trashy magazines, and took out my tuna sashimi and roasted baby gnocchi and sat in the sunshine for an hour.

Decided then that I would spring into action, well ok maybe not quite spring, more limp slowly! and head off to the garden centre, came back and planted out all my veg, this year I am growing courgettes, butternut squash, chillis, sweet peppers, spring onions, cauliflower, peas and beans.  I have grown everything from seed this year, and am so chuffed with the results, lets just hope they don't now get eaten by slugs as inevitably happens.    God I worked hard, must surely have earned some activity points!!

Breakfast
2 WW breakfast biscuits

Lunch
Tuna Sashimi with baby roasted gnocchi
Peach

Dinner
Prawns with 50g of rice, onions, mushrooms and asparagus
Curly Wurly!!! hurrrahhhhh

Wednesday 6 April 2011

Day 93 - totally tropical

To wake up and see sunshine is such a lovely sight, to realise that some of your summer clothes actually now fit is even nicer!  I spent the first half an hour of the day deciding what to wear for my meeting in Barcelona tomorrow, and then the next 6 hours trying to reschedule it as the client has decided to move the meeting, arrrggghhh, oh well thats how it goes sometimes, at least it means that I can enjoy the sunshine at home tomorrow, planning to shoot off to the gym and then spend the day gardening.

Had to cope with a major tantrum from Charlotte, she hasn't had one for ages and then decided she would melt down today, they really really upset me as she is such a lovely happy little girl that when she is screaming at me it rips me apart.  Spotted some chocolate in the fridge and was just about to hoover it up, when my willpower kicked in and I stopped, eating your way out of upset is not the way!

Breakfast
2 breakfast biscuits

Lunch
Tortilla wrap with low fat leerdammer and sweet chilli jam
walkers square crisps
1 pear

Dinner
Sea bass fillet
gnocchi
posh mushy peas

Tuesday 5 April 2011

Day 92 - all systems go

Hurrahhh although the estate agent called me this morning with a house in our ideal location, budget and size, we are not tempted and have signed contracts with our builder to begin work on the extension, and also to have him redo our bathroom and flooring in the kitchen and downstairs toilet and utility.  Its amazing I can't quite believe we are finally going to finish the house, and who knows we may even live in it for a while before putting it on the market!!!

Had another busy day, just occupying Lottie is a full time occupation, running around after her, taking her to ballet, painting, sticking, drawing, trying to get her to eat, still great fun and wouldn't change a thing.  She was an absolute star today and I loved every minute, she is just so funny, loveable and wonderful, although I would say that wouldnt I.

Breakfast
Wholemeal toast and 10g of reduced fat peanut butter

Lunch
1 slice of Wholemeal bread
mushrooms, and dried crispy bacon strip (from M&S but only 2 points for 4 and they are delicious)
Yoghurt

Dinner
Homemade turkey burger with sage, garlic and onion
Sweet potato
Peas

Monday 4 April 2011

Day 91- Weigh in number 13

Ok I was told off this morning about my lack of committment to these blogs recently and I guess that goes the same for the WW plan, so I am totally back to being focused this week (thanks again Jennie, don't know what i would do without you)

So it was weigh day this morning and to say I was dreading it was putting it mildly, even though I have only had the odd day off over the last 2 weeks I was sure I was going to be punished for it, well imagine my delight to find I had lost 2 pounds!!!! hurrah, it was just what i needed to get right back on the wagon again.

I was really busy today both with work, then house work then gardening, drank lots of water and ate good food!  Its amazing actually how much better I feel when eating proper food.

Breakfast
Wholemeal toast with 10g of reduced fat peanut butter

Lunch
Prawn dumplings with wasabi soya sauce
french fry crisps
yoghurt

Dinner
Lemon sole fillet with chorizo on rocket and asparagus salad, with roasted gnocchi
1 pear with chocolate yoghurt - my god sooooooooooooooo yummy

Day 90 - A day for Mothers

Had a wonderful Mother's day from start to finish, even if it started a little earlier than was absolutely necessary.  Lottie was so excited to give me my card and present she came bounding in at a little after 6, ouch!  I had the most beautifully handmade card and a gift of a day at Richmond Fish School learning all about cooking fish and shellfish, I couldn't have got anything better, I absolutely love fish and this is something I have wanted to do for ages.  Thank you Paul for pointing Lottie in the right direction!

I was then taken out for breakfast at the Runnymede hotel which I totally recommend, it was amazing, ok it may not be as cheap as the cafe round the corner, but wow, it was yummy and i did indulge, but hardly had any lunch and no dinner to speak of so think I will be ok.

Breakfast
full english breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice and a small piece of banana bread

Lunch
very very small bit of fish pie with lots of vegies
fruit salad

Dinner
funsize crunchie! lol

Saturday 2 April 2011

Day 89 - Help for Heroes

Went into Windsor to do some shopping today and found it was Help for Heroes day, which immediately brought me out all emotional.  I feel very strongly that anyone who is injured in fighting in our services should automatically be looked after and not have to rely on handouts from charity to give them support, so we spent and donated money, and generally had a lovely day.  Stopped for lunch and I was so sorely tempted to have something bad, but thankfully my lovely husband guided and supported

Went bowling with Lottie in the late afternoon and she loved it, and again resisted the temptation for popcorn or sweets.  Then went home and pottered round the garden, which was lovely until Patch the guinea pig inadvertantley bit Lottie (they don't see very well) thankfully didn't draw blood as he had with me last week, but it took plenty of cuddles to calm her down.  She did however then go back to feeding him, so don't think it left any lasting impression.

Breakfast
None

Lunch
Chicken and chorizo salad with orange and pomegranite dressing - (donated most of the chorizo to Paul), absolutely scrummy

Dinner
Chicken in pitta bread and anchovies (ok strange but yum)

Day 88 - NCT

Had a fantastic night out with the NCT girls, hence no post, sorry, very late back and a little tipsy!

Wasn't hungry all day so didn't really eat which meant the first glass of prosecco (and the second and third) hit the spot perfectly!

Was so lovely to see all the girls again and help to celebrate Justina's 40th, she took our humourous presents with very good grace, even the rude ones.

I was quite restrained with eating, but probably did drink rather too much but as my lovely husband says, you have to still live your life and enjoy things.  So rare to get an evening out, I certainly did that.

Breakfast
Wholemeal toast

Lunch
nothing (did have a bowl of homemade butternut squash soup though about 5pm)

Dinner
3 pieces of calamari
5 olives
Nicoise salad
piece of birthday cake
too much wine!

Thursday 31 March 2011

Day 87 - well done Janet

Went to work at a client's offices today that I hadn't been in to for 4 weeks and met up with my friend Janet who was one of the inspirations behind me starting WW in January.  She has now lost 4 stone and looks absolutely amazing.  Well the two of us stood in the kitchen exclaiming about how fab we both looked. I have found collar bones and she has found a waist! people must have thought we had gone mad.  I was on cloud nine all day, because of her success and because she made me feel so good.

I love working with this client because it is alway so busy that I never have a minute to feel hungry, and it is the only office I know where absolutely everyone is healthy, no desk is without a bottle of water, and everyone compares soups or salads at lunch time.  Sounds horribly dull, but I won the prize for most interesting salad!

Breakfast
Rice crispy square

Lunch
Rocket, chick pea, chilli, mushroom, butternut squash, green beans, asparagus and leerdammer light salad
yoghurt

Dinner
Sea bass fillet
gnocchi
posh mushy peas
strawberries
glass of wine

Day 86 - ooops forgot

Can't believe i forgot to post yesterday, its usually automatic in the evening, fortunately I didn't forget to point though! Even had quite a good day.  Was very busy rushing around and so didn't have a lot of time to worry about what I was eating which is good.

Was feeling really proud of my achievements until Lottie walked up the stairs behind me to bed, put her hands on my bottom and said "oh Mummy look at your big bottom" thanks honey!

Breakfast
Rice krispy square

Lunch
prawn dumplings with wasabi soya sauce
French fry crisps
yoghurt

Dinner
Squid and chorizo salad
1 pear

Tuesday 29 March 2011

Day 85 - Back in the saddle again!!

Had a great day and was actually really pleased to be back eating healthily, certainly felt a lot better. Was busy running around trying to tidy up from holiday, sort out getting new car tomorrow, do some shopping, shuttle Lottie to ballet, and then be her personal chef!  For her tea she demanded fried egg on wholemeal toast, but when I made her the first one and she popped the yolk she burst into tears and demanded I put it back together.  When I said I couldn't she broke her little heart and so I had to make her another with the yolk intact!  The things you do for love!

Breakfast
1 weetabix and skimmed milk

Lunch
Prawn dumplings
Toffee yoghurt

Dinner
Homemade turkey and sage burger
Butternut squash
Mushrooms
1 pear

Monday 28 March 2011

Day 84 - No Way.................

As I have only just got back from holiday and even though I took my wii with me so that I could weigh in we couldn't connect it to the TV so I couldn't weigh in this morning, and definitely don't want to do it now as I know you weigh heavier in the evening and don't want a nasty shock.  I sneak peeked on Thursday before i went and had lost 2 pounds so that is what I would like to think has come off this week. however I will have to wait until next Monday to find out.  Today was not brilliant for eating as I decided that after 3 solid months I would actually have another half day off, but am being honest about what I have eaten, and know I will be back on the straight and narrow tomorrow.  Also walked lots, played golf and was really active today so hopefully it will be ok anyway.   Even though I decided to relax I couldn't believe my self control as Lottie wanted some sweeties and as she hadn't had any on holiday I thought she could have a treat and go into the giant sweet shop at center parcs and have what she wanted to choose and I would do the same.  Well she came out with a small bag of pick and mix and I came out with ....................................... nothing, thats right NOTHING, i looked at lots of things and just didn't fancy anything at all, not even marzipan or fudge, my all time faves, I guess I really have changed.

So my relax day looked like this

Breakfast
1 crumpet with light butter

Lunch
mushroom pizza - thin base
4 olives

Dinner
1/2 portion of Paul's chips in a bread roll - very yum and just what I needed to continue on my health eat for another 3 months without a break.

Sunday 27 March 2011

Day 83 - And Relax

another very energetic day on holiday but today I had decided that I would have a normal dinner and not worry too much about what I was eating and see how I would cope.  Had a great morning playing tennis, then a picnic with Rupert Bear (I didn't eat) then swimming in the afternoon and then dinner in the American diner!!! arrrrggghhhh, so going to be totally honest about what I have eaten, but also incredibly proud as it still fits within my daily and weekly points.

Breakfast
1 weetabix and skimmed milk

Lunch
Tomato soup

Dinner
3 onion rings
crab nachos
Chicken fajitas - although only ate 2 of 6 because I was way too full
3 glasses of wine

First time in 3 months I have eaten anyything remotely fattening, and it was weird because although it was quite nice it wasn't as amazing as I thought it was going to be and so wont be doing it again for another 3 months!!!

Saturday 26 March 2011

Day 82 - Dedication!

Ok so may be on holiday but amazingly still staying dedicated to the cause.  However I am sure I could get away with eating a few more points as today I have:

Cycled 3 miles
Walked 2 miles
Danced for an hour at ballet
Swam for 2 hours

Am totally exhausted!  Having a brilliant time though, so lovely to see family and watch all the children playing so happily together.  Even managed to go the pancake house today and rather than (as I did last time) have a wonderful savoury cheese pancake and then a chocolate filled one, I had an omlette with vegetables and no cheese, I pretended it was lovely when actually it was really dull, but hey ho no one got slim having fun!!!

Breakfast
strawberries and pear

Lunch
Omlette with vegetables
banana

Dinner
Fish pie
2 glasses of wine.

Friday 25 March 2011

Day 81 - Center Parcs

Hurrah the day has finally arrive, we booked center parcs last September so that we could meet up with my cousin Janet and her family, ashamed to admit we haven't seen them since our wedding day, so to say I was excited was putting it mildly.  Well the drive was horrendous, what should have been 2.5 hours took 4, with a little one demading to know "are we there yet" 5 minutes after leaving home, and then saying she needed the toilet half way up the A46 with only a lay by to stop in, followed by Mummy demanding the same thing 10 miles later!  Poor Paul, oh well we are here now and it is fantastic, all the kids are getting on really well as are the parents, seems like we all met up yesterday, but I guess thats family for you.

Was very good with my eating all day, until I consumed a whole bottle of wine over dinner, however it is all in my points and I have done lots of walking so fingers crossed.

Breakfast
1 weetabix with skimmed milk

Lunch
Flour tortilla with leerdammer cheese and sweet chili
french fry crips

Day 80 - Hurrahhhhhh for holidays

Am writing my blog early today as I know as soon as Paul gets home things will be manic.  We are going to Center Parcs tomorrow and as is my want, I like to pack the night before rather than in the morning, and, according to Paul, take the kitchen sink!

I went shopping to Windsor today to get some bits and pieces and treat myself to some new tops as I have now gone down 2 sizes and wanted to finally wear something that may show a bit of shape (thanks for the advice Jennie) I had a great time but will definitely have to hide the credit card statement from Paul when it comes in.  All those wonderful shops that I could not go into before as they didn't have anything to fit, have now come on the radar, Joules, Hobs, Gant and Fat Face are smiling today.

Because I had some new things to put away I decided to go through some of my wardrobe slim buys, eg, I will buy that and slim into it!  And I was absolutely amazed as not only did some of them now fit, but alas some of them were too big.  Well the ones with tags on are defiinitely going on ebay and the others are going in the bin, I am never going back to being that FAT!!!!

Breakfast
Crumpet with leerdammer slice

Lunch
Tortilla wrap with quorn sausage
French Fry crisps

Dinner
Prawn dumplings
Gnocchi
Posh mushy peas

Snack
fun size flake

Day 79 and the sun is shining

What a gorgeous day today and fantastic that I was working from home so that in between phone calls and excel spreadsheets I was able to potter round the garden, watch the guinea pigs playing, water plants and generally enjoy life, oooooh that was a bit hippyish for me!

ok I have picked myself up from my disappointment yesterday and have moved on.  In addition to not drinking any alcohol this week and trying to drink more water I am also looking at using my points in a more healthy way.

Went to Joules this morning to get Lottie a couple of new tops, but thought I would look for me too and I found a gorgeous gilet that I thought would never fit as it was a size smaller than my usual.  Imagine my delight when it fitted perfectly, infact I am still smiling.

Dinner
homemade turkey and sage burger
Roasted gnocchi

Day 77 - Weigh in 11 -Boooooooooooooo STS

Ok going to write this quickly today as its not good news.  I stepped on the scales this morning feeling good and stepped off feeling rubbish.  I had stayed the same, although the Wi said my BMI had reduced, so I may have lost a half pound, however the Wi scales only work in full pounds.  I am gutted, I pointed everything and stuck easily within my points, and only used 10 of my weeklies.  However rather a lot of points were made up from wine and not food, so I am guessing that that may have been the problem.  Oh well it was the kick I was expecting and it has happened now and I can cope with it, just not going to drink this week (much) and will try to drink lots more water and see what happens.

Breakfast
Crumpet with leerdammer slice

Lunch
Tortilla wrap with crab
French fry crisps
Yoghurt

Dinner
Cod fillet with chilli and chorizo
Rice
Strawberries and pear

NO WINE!

Day 76 - The Good life

Decided to spend the day gardening, but first took Lottie to Sunday school.  Our Sunday school is held in church and is really sweet they get the children really involved in the service and they all come up to be blessed during communion, which Lottie thinks is very funny.  She kept asking when the man in the dress was going to pat her on the head!  Then when he was pouring the wine, she asked what he was doing, and when I said he was just having a drink of wine, she said (and very loudly) just like you Mummy, thats your favourite !!! lol, thankfully no one near us heard.

Spent the rest of the day in the garden planting all our vegetables and salad greens, we are going to be so healthy if it all comes up.

Breakfast
Crumpet with marmite

Lunch
slice wholemeal toast with 2 turkey rashers and an egg (healthy fry up)
Strawberries and a meringue nest

Dinner
Turkey and mushrooms with teriyaki sauce
Roasted butternut squash
Glass of wine

Day 75 - My Lovely Husband

Ok sometimes I am fiesty sometimes I am bossy, but just sometimes (although not often) my husband gets the upper hand, and this morning he told me we were going to buy a new car whether I liked it or not as he was bored of my indecision.  Ohhhh how masterful was that.  So here we go, my new car, or this looks like it, mine is only a couple of years old, but couldn't find another picture.  God its fab, love it, love it, love it.

Did some gardening this afternoon, but am shattered after having yet another night of only 3 hours sleep, Lottie has a nasty cold and has been sleeping badly all week so we are both exhausted.  Oh well I am on cloud nine about the car so will cope with it.

Saw the most amazing moon tonight, apparently a super moon and only happens once every 20 years, but its huge!

Breakfast
Crumpet with marmite

Lunch
Buttternut squash soup and 1 slice bread
Yoghurt

Dinner
Plaice, roasted gnocchi and peas
2 glasses of wine
1 funsize caramel

Day 74 - Mummy Daughter Time

Had a lovely day today with my gorgeous girl, she loves house work (will soon knock that out of her don't worry) so we set about hoovering and polishing, or rather I did whilst Lottie told me what to do.  Lets hope getting rid of the cleaner saves me pounds in move ways than one.

Went swimming and chatting this evening which was lovely, there is nothing quite as relaxing as a jacuzzi and a chat on a Friday night.

Breakfast
crumpet with light cheese slice

Lunch
Butternut squash soup & a crumpet
Strawberries and meringue nest

Dinner
Chicken kebab and 3 oz of chips
2 glasses of wine

Thursday 17 March 2011

Day 73 - Lessons learnt with Lemon Grass

because I spotted fresh lemon grass at the farm shop yesterday I thought hmmmmm make something Thai so I bought it and some ginger and some chillis.  So today I looked up a WW recipe for Thai green curry and away I went, I thought it was a little strange that it said finely chop the lemon grass and not crush it and then take it out before eating, but I stuck to the recipe.  Well the taste was delicious but I am afraid to say the meal was inedible because the finely chopped pieces of lemon grass were like little sticks.  I refused to be beaten and spent ages picking them out, ate half of it and then gave up.  Next time I am definitely removing the offending items!

Must be beginning to look better as I am sure my butcher was flirting with me today.  Granted I must have been a bit strange as I was just on my way back from a meeting and was suited and booted with full make up, not the usual way I pitch up there.  Also just had to stop and buy some fish as not only was it lovely last week, but I remembered the fishmonger was quite hot, and yes I came to that conclusion again today, just don't tell Paul!! lol

Breakfast
Crumpet with honey

Lunch
Prawn dumplings
Walkers french fry crips
Fruit salad

Dinner
half a serving of Thai green curry
Strawberries
fun size crunchy!!! yipppppeeeee

Day 72 - Feeling my Age!

Sorry folks for the lack of a posting yesterday, god I must really be feeling my age because quite simply, I forgot!

Had a very busy work day and caught up with an old client who took me out for lunch to one of my favourite Italians, however he is such a good friend/client that he really helped me by upfront saying he was having a salad and then ordering San Pellegrino instead of wine, what a sweety!?  I had a nicoise salad and loved it, but wasn't sure how to point it, I still struggle when I am out and can't see the nutritional values of something.  I didn't have the dressing and didn't eat all the potatoes and pointed it at 14 so hopefully that will have been enough.

Was nearly late for my meeting, which I never ever do, and why?  Because I couldn't decide what to wear and this time not because nothing fitted, but because suddenly I have things that DO fit.  I put on a jacket I haven't worn for 3 years and it looked fab, and I felt brilliant!  Loving this weight loss thing!

Breakfast
WW ginger and lemon cookies (I know not a great start)

Lunch
Nicoisse salad, no dressing

Dinner
Grilled salmon with lemon and soya sauce
Roasted butternut squash
Posh mushy peas

Tuesday 15 March 2011

Day 71 - Will Power

So Lottie was having her friends Issy and Conner over for lunch today and she decided she wanted a picnic with sandwiches, little sausages, cheese, breadsticks etc, arrrrggghhhh.  I actually had to lay everything out for her and then go and eat my little prawn dumplings.  I must be getting better at this though because I have to say it actually wasn't that hard and I felt very virtuous afterwards.

I also ran around after all the children and so felt I had done lots of activity.  Then Paul surprised us by coming home from work a little earlier than usual, which was fab as it meant I could head off to the gym.  Worked really hard and can already feel myself aching!

Lottie told me I was getting smaller today, which brought a lump to my throat, finally someone has noticed!

Breakfast
Toast and leerdammer light slice

Lunch
Steamed prawn dumplings

Dinner
Stirfry turkey teryaki and mushrooms with gnocchi
1 meringue nest with mandarin segments and sugar free jelly

Monday 14 March 2011

Day 70 - Goal !!!!

hurrah couldnt actually believe it when i stepped on the scales this morning and had lost another 4 pounds, ok so I took off my watch and bracelet so maybe realistically it was more like 3.  It means that I have now lost 31 pounds and so have achieved my first goal of losing 2 stones.  I actually did a little jig round the lounge I am just so pleased.  I only wish I looked different, I have to be honest and say I really cant tell any difference, ok my clothes are getting a bit loser and I have bought a pair of jeans in a smaller size, but there doesn't seem to be a huge change.

Spent most of the day sat at my desk, which isn't brilliant for exercise so I really must do some more this week, going to try and hit the gym tomorrow or wednesday and get a couple of swims in.  Also need to set my next goal, which I would like to be 1.5 stones by my holiday which is June, can it be done??????

Breakfast
Slice wholemeal toast and leerdammer light slice

Lunch
Prawn dumplings
walkers french fry crisps

Dinner
Seabass
Roasted butternut squash and posh mushy peas

Snack
Cadburys fudge and glass of wine - well I think I deserved it!

Sunday 13 March 2011

Day 69 - Sunday School

Took Lottie to Sunday School today and she really enjoyed it.  I had a huge lump in my throat walking into church as the place means so much to me, where we were married and where Lottie was Christened, it was lovely to be back.

Spent the afternoon tending to our seedlings, Lottie is so happy that the things she has planted are growing, and secretly so am I, I have always loved growing things, must take after my Grandad he was brilliant in the garden, sadly I am not!

Breakfast
slice of wholemeal toast

Lunch
homemade butternut squash soup
Yoghurt

Dinner
squid and chorizo with mushrooms
gnocchi
grapes and strawberries
glass of wine

Day 68 - Car Shopping

Decided that today I would finally decide upon which new car I wanted.  Its so difficult because everything I seem to want won't fit on our drive, would love a 2 door sports car - problem - can only open car door on one side so Lottie would have to climb across to passenger seat.  Would love larger 4x4 - problem - would fit on the drive but wouldn't be able to open doors, is that a problem!!! lol.  So have finally narrowed down to  BMW 1 Series, Merc B class or Qashqai.

Ok have now driven them all apart from the 1 series and have decided them are not for me. arrrrrgggghhhh, think I will just stick to what i have, and then move house, or maybe that is a bit extreme!

Not a great diet day as I am still struggling to eat very much, and then using up points with wine so I am not sure how kind the scales are going to be this week, but I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Breakfast
Crumpet with marmite

Lunch
Mushroom soup (wasn't sure how much to point as was in a restaurant, but I didn't eat the bread so hopefully not too bad)

Dinner
Cod fillet baked with lemons and wasabi mayonnaise
Butternut squash
Yoghurt and grapes
2 glasses of wine

Friday 11 March 2011

Day 67 - down to earth with a bump

They say there is nothing like children to keep you balanced and god thats so true.  During one of our many daily cuddles today, Lottie sighed happily and when I asked her was she ok, she said "yes Mummy I am just snuggling into your fat tummy"  arrrrrghhhhhhhh  I had to chuckle.  Sometimes the complete honesty of children is wonderful, sometimes it is just hilarious.

had another busy day cleaning, god its getting to be a habit, Lottie loves it, or rather she loves ordering Mummy around, and I feel strangely happy about shifting things around and getting rid of the dirt that I had paid the cleaner to remove for the last year or so.  Lets just hope it means its good exercise for me.

Breakfast
Crumpet with marmite

Lunch
Poached egg on slice of wholemeal toast

Dinner
Prawn dumplings
Gnocchi
2 Glasses of wine

Snack
Tin of anchovies (weird I know but I love them and they are only 2 pps)

Thursday 10 March 2011

Day 66 - Manx kippers

Imagine my delight when I went to our new fishmongers and there were manx kippers hanging up, fresh ones too, none of the plastic shrink wrapped nonsense.  Just had to buy some and lots more besides, I really seem to have gone back to fish, have always loved it, but stopped eating it much a few years ago as Paul doesn't really like it, well not any more, he can stick to meat, me I am on fish.

Bought allsorts at the farm shop today, I just love shopping for fresh fruit and veg, going to make soup with Charlotte tomorrow, my favourite at the moment is butternut squash and chilli, yum, yum, yum.

Worked really hard this afternoon and decided i deserved a glass of wine or two this evening, and before realising it have dipped into 7 of my weeklies, however i think I probably needed to.

Breakfast
Crumpet with low fat cheese slice

Lunch
Wholemeal toast and humous
WW yoghurt

Dinner
WW pizza
2 glasses of wine
Curly Wurly

Wednesday 9 March 2011

Day 65 - Busy busy busy

Ok work is now busy again, but I am loving it, however it doesn't give me much time for thinking about eating, and so unfortunately I have not been eating enough this week and am down on points, which I know will show on the scales on Monday.  I was thinking of just eating chocolate or drinking wine to use up the points, but I am full and it seemed silly to just use them for the sake of it.  Have also been desk bound two days this week so that won't help with the activity levels, and am not going to be able to get to the gym tomorrow, arrrrgggghhhh
Oh well what will be will be, just have to try and have an energetic weekend.

Breakfast
crumpet with one low fat cheese slice

Lunch
chicken and sweetcorn soup
1 bag walkers french fry crisps

Dinner
steamed haddock fillet
Butternut squash
Asparagus
homemade wasabi mayonnaise (very low fat of course)
Yoghurt

Tuesday 8 March 2011

Day 64 - Cleaner

Well after letting our cleaner go last week, when for 16 hours I was giving up work, I am a bit stuffed now, so decided today I had better do some.  I am not sure where she was cleaning but it certainly wasn't our house, because as i pulled out sofas and chairs I saw a horrid accumulation of dust, so spent nearly 3 hours just doing one room.  Oh well lets hope its as good as going to the gym.  Lottie loved it although I think polishing the cushions on the sofa (and not the leather ones) was going a little too far!

Went shopping and stocked up on lots of low fat goodies and snacks, and even thought I would try a WW tikka sauce and make a curry for dinner tonight.  Hubby really not impressed, and to be honest it wasn't that great, not nearly enough coconut cream or milk for my liking but I guess thats why its a WW. Did have a horrid shock at lunch time though, I had bought a WW quiche and saw that is was just 5.5 points so thought I would have a lovely lunch and have this with rocket and sweet chilli jam.  Imagine my horror when I pointed it and realised it was actually 9 pps, 5.5 was the old system, it definitely wasn't that tasty, oh well, live and learn.

Took Lottie to ballet and had tears in my eyes as she is really good and just loves it, even manages to look graceful which is something after all these years I still haven't mastered!

Breakfast
toast and 1 tsp peanut butter

Lunch
ww quiche (couldn't allow myself anything else)

Dinner
WW chicken tikka
Yoghurt

Monday 7 March 2011

Day 63 - Weigh in 9

wasn't sure what the scales were going to reveal today as couldn't quite believe i could still be losing after 9 weeks, this has never ever happened to me before.  However when I got on it revealed a 2 pound loss taking me to 27 pounds, wooooo hooooooo, just got to push for another pound this week and then that's the first two stone gone and my first goal complete.  I can't tell you how great I feel.  Celebrated by eating a cadbury's fudge for breakfast, a very silly thing to do, but I felt silly! and it was all pointed so it was fine.  Left me feeling hungry all morning though so that will teach me.

So much for giving up work, have never been so busy, but its for companies I love and doing really interesting projects, so thats fine, for now!

Breakfast
Cadburys Fudge

Lunch
Tortilla wrap with strong cheddar (1/2oz) and chilli jam
Walkers french fry crisps

Dinner
Prawn Dumplings, Gnocchi and posh mushy peas
2 rich tea biscuits

Sunday 6 March 2011

Day 62, Dinosaurs and Dinner!

Had a fantastic day at the natural history museum with Lottie and Paul, Lottie absolutely loves it and is learning so much its fab.  She loves the animal room and especially the blue whale, which have to say is pretty damn impressive.  She took her camera with her and proceeded to photograph everything in sight for most of the day which has resulted in some very amusing photos.  On a negative side lunch was decidedly dodgy and even though I went for a childs portion of chicken wrap and salad, the same as Lottie, I think we both had the same reaction - Yuck, the salad was horrible and slimy (far too greasy) and the wrap was too thick, so I left almost all of it and decided it was better to be hungry.  On a positive side, I walked miles, then came home and did a couple of hours of ironing and housework, so I had better have lost tomorrow, or else!

Breakfast
1 slice wholemeal toast with poached egg

Lunch
Yucky chicken wrap (1/4) and about 2 spoons of greasy coleslaw and bean salad

Dinner
Butternut squash
Squid and chorizo and prawns
Yoghurt

Saturday 5 March 2011

Day 61 - Everything in the garden is rosey!

Or at least it will be soon I hope. We spent the day planning our summer garden then planting away.  Lottie loved it, and I think its really important that she knows where fruit and vegetables come from.  It may be confusing as the tomatoes and peppers got mixed up with the chillis, but I am sure we can work it out, if, and when they grow!

Managed to avoid the temptation of bacon sandwiches, cupcakes and even a very persistant and kind little girl who despartely wanted to share her chocolate with me.  I had to pretend I was going to eat it later to keep her happy.

Off to the natural history museum tomorrow so have to think about how I am going to manage eating, whether to take a picnic with me or just avoid temptation in their restaurant.  Wish me luck.

Breakfast
Slice of wheat bread with 1 tsp of peanut butter

Lunch
Spicy butternut squash soup with prawns
Cheese crackers

Dinner
Scallops
Gnocchi
Asparagus and mushrooms

Treats
Glass or wine and a curly wurly - very yum!!

Friday 4 March 2011

Day 60 - Here come the girls!

Had a lovely day today as Lottie had one of her friends over in the morning and they played beautifully, meaning I could chat to her Mum and relax a little.  Then this evening went swimming and relaxing in the jacuzzi, giving me more time to chat to my friend!  Honestly if you could lose weight by talking I would have reached goal already.

Planning on lots of gardening tomorrow so fingers crossed for a nice day.

Breakfast
Toast and marmite

Lunch
Spicy butternut squash soup
Pineapple

Dinner
Chicken in pitta bread with 3oz of chips
Small glass of wine

Thursday 3 March 2011

Day 59 - or no break!!

Ok so the decision to give up work lasted exactly 16 hours, before an old client got in touch and asked if I could help out and as they are only 400 yards away from my house, I love them to bits, and they told me I looked fantastic, I decided it would be silly to say no!!! lol  So maybe I will take a break in a couple of weeks.

I did however have the day off today, well apart from the above business meeting.  So I made a yummy spicy butternut squash soup and went to the gym, a really lovely day.

Am still going ahead with the reflexology training though and will be signing up and sending the deposit tomorrow!

Lunch
Prawn dumplings with a spoon of guacamole
Walkers french fry crisps
1/3rd of a seed and fruit flapjack (only 2pps dont worry)

Dinner
Chicken with small spoon of satay sauce
Roasted butternut squash
1 glass of wine

Wednesday 2 March 2011

Day 58 - A break

Decided today to take a bit of a break from work, I know I hear you all cry, I have said this many times before.  However I finished a contract this morning and really feel in need of a little time off, fortunately my husband thinks the same.  This hasn't stopped me setting up two business meetings for the next couple of weeks so who knows what they will bring, but I really want to just stop and take a breather for a minute or two.

Have also decided to bring forward my reflexology training and so will be starting in May instead of October, so can everyone please get their feet out earlier for me!

Did half hour on the Wii this afternoon but it wasn't that hard so I am guessing i didn't push myself hard enough, so am going to the gym tomorrow and going to do a class also, well maybe I should get used to this lady of leisure lifestyle immediately!

Breakfast
Hovis toast with 1 teaspoon of peanut butter

Lunch
Snack sushi and prawns
walkers french fry crisps
1 ww mallow biscuits

Dinner
Pork loin with mushrooms and roasted butternut squash and asparagus
Yoghurt

Tuesday 1 March 2011

Day 57 - Needles

Had to take Lottie for her booster immunisations today, well when I say I did, I mean Paul actually took her in to see the nurse whilst I sat in the waiting room.  It was horrendous I heard her scream and start crying and it tore me apart.  It was over quickly and I know it had to be done but it still leaves you feeling dreadful.  So what did I do as a good Mummy, I gave her a sweetie to cheer her up! Not great considering it is things like this that probably contribute to people using food as rewards, oh well once won't hurt! and it worked it cheered her up.

Spent the day with a friend I hadn't seen for ages which was lovely, and then took my lovely girl to Ballet, although she could only dance with one arm as she said the other one hurt, poor little love. Lets hope she feels better tomorrow.

Breakfast
Toast with marmite

Lunch
Butternut squash, chickpea and rocket salad

Dinner
Cod wrapped in pancetta with posh mushy peas and gnocchi
Curly wurly

Monday 28 February 2011

Day 56 - Weigh in Number 8

Woo hooo another 3 pounds off, taking my total to 25 pounds, so got my 25 Star.  I am so so chuffed as I felt like I had lost last week and would have been gutted if i hadn't.  Just want to stay on this track, I can honestly say I am enjoying every minute, discovering new recipes and adapting them, and looking forward to being slim again!  Going on holiday in 3 weeks, only a long weekend but I am a little concerned about how I am going to cope.  Fortunately it is Centre Parcs so will be doing lots of exercise, and I can cook for us if I can't face going out.  To be honest its not the food that really tempts me at all, its the wine, I do love a nice glass, or three!

Breakfast
Slice of toast with leerdammer light cheese slice

Lunch
Prawn Dumplings
WW cheese crackers
WW caramel mallow wafers (god they are yummy although only 1 point, wish I hadn't bought them as could easily eat the packet!)

Dinner
Squid, chickpea and chorizo salad
Fruit salad

Sunday 27 February 2011

Day 55 - Yummy Sunday Lunch without the Roast!

Had a lovely day today as my inlaws came over, and jokes aside I really love my Mother and Father in law, they are fun, kind and just basically lovely.  I had thought long and hard about what to cook so that it was still a tasty Sunday lunch but not full of fat and points.

I love cooking, always have done always will and its something that Lottie is definitely picking up on, she helped me lots and lots, which is fab, she's great in the kitchen.

Saturday 26 February 2011

Day 54 - to buy a new car or to not buy a new car

Yes we are back to that old question and so went out again to have a look and I have finally realised that the only ones i actually like are completely inpractical.  Really like the Audi A4 convertible and looked at several today, but they are just not going to work as I can't actually open the door wide enough on our drive to get Lottie in.  Did consider how long it would take to retract the roof every morning and pop her in that way, but decided against it!!  Going to stick with what i have at the moment and be happy with it.

Lottie fell asleep this afternoon which is really not like her, but unfortunately that meant that she really did not want to go to sleep tonight and infact didn't until 9.30, so dinner was a little late!

Having the inlaws over tomorrow for Sunday lunch and am going to have my willpower tested as my Mother in law loves a glass or bottle of wine and always brings really good ones.  I have been careful with points though to ensure i have most of my 49 left incase I need them.

Lunch
Spicy butternut squash soup with calamari
Packet of walkers french fry crisps

Dinner
Prawn dumplings
Gnocchi and Asparagus
Cadburys finger of fudge

Day 53 - Ouch

Ok legs seriously hurting today, had decided to run a bit more at the gym yesterday and knew it would hurt when I had to go to bed at 9.30 last night because they just wouldn't stop aching.  Oh well must be good for me!

Had a lovely day with Lottie, went to the park and had a lovely time pushing her and her friend Arun on the swings, am hoping that this may get rid of the bingo wings!  Even managed to refuse cake, ice cream or chips at the park cafe and settled for a diet coke.

Went swimming this evening and a combination of gentle swimming followed by the jacuzzi has definitely eased the legs.  Hurahhh.

Breakfast
Crumpet with marmite

Day 52 - busy girl

I'm writing my blog early today as I strongly suspect I will not be able to use my arms later!!  I had a very intense hour at the gym this morning followed by 2 hours of ironing this afternoon and I'm shattered.  Its a good feeling as I have been meaning to do a bit more activity and finally found the time to do it today and fit it round a full days work too!

Told a friend today about my reflexology idea and he raved about it said it was very me and thought it was a brilliant thing to do.  Cool thanks Dave, feel better now as when I told my Mum she just said "oh"  So I am guessing she wasn't very impressed!  Never mind I will win her round.

Lottie wants to make cupcakes tomorrow(arrggghhhh temptation) so I am looking for a WW recipe, she will never know the difference (much) and she can always ice hers and leave a plain one for me.

Hubby out tonight so I get control of the remote, fish pie and a glass of wine, gosh how rock and roll is my life!

ashamed to admit but 2 rich tea biscuits and coffee whilst dashing out to gym

Lunch
